ATTENTION:  Our office will be closed Monday, 15 February 2010george Washington/Thomas Jefferson's Birthday.  Travel is allowed with a valid permit from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset on Monday, 15 February 2010.  Please drive carefully and BUCKLE-UP!

 

Effective 2 November 2009, the Permit Office hours of operation will be as follows:       7 AM to 4:45 PM, M - F.

 

The City and State of origin and destination are now required information on all permit/routing requests!

[20 October 2009]  CAUTION:  There is a 11'-0" Width Restriction along I-20, both directions, from Exit 144(AL-25/US-411) to Exit 158(AL-53/US-231), in St. Clair County due to a construction project.  EFFECTIVE 20 October 2009 until further notice.  Please contact the permit office for detour routing information.

[16 September 2009]  CAUTION:  There is a 12'-0" Width Restriction along I-59 Southbound from Exit 205(AL-68) to Exit 183(US-278/431), in DeKalb & Etowah Counties due to a construction project.  EFFECTIVE 21 September 2009. There is a 12'-0" Width Restriction along I-59 both Northbound and Southbound from Exit 205(AL-68) to Exit 183(US-278/431), in DeKalb & Etoway Counties due to a construction project.  EFFECTIVE 30 November 2009 until further notice.  Please contact the permit office for detour routing information.

[6 May 2009]  CAUTION:  There is a NO PERMITTED TRAVEL along AL-3/US-31 both directions from the junction of AL-157 to I-65 Interchange(Exit 318), in Cullman due to land slide.  EFFECTIVE 5 May 2009 until further notice.  Please contact the permit office for detour routing information.

[6 May 2009]  CAUTION:  There is a 12'-0" Width Restriction along AL-53/US-231 both directions from the junction of AL-134 to AL-210(Ross Clark Circle, in Dothan due to construction.  EFFECTIVE 5 May 2009 until further notice.  Please contact the permit office for detour routing information.

[26 March 2009]  CAUTION:  There is a 12'-0" Width Restriction along I-65 north and south bound directions from Exit #261 to Exit #264, in Birmingham due to construction.  EFFECTIVE 9 April 2009 until further notice.  Please contact the permit office for detour routing information.

[18 December 2008]  CAUTION:  There is a 11'-0" Width Restriction along I-65, north & south bound, both directions, from Exit #242 to Exit #247, in Shelby County due to construction.  EFFECTIVE 22 December 2008 for up to two (2) years from date.  Please contact the permit office for detour routing information.
