I-65 TENNESSEE RIVER BRIDGES
MAINTENANCE PROJECT AHEAD
A $6.8 million bridge deck maintenance project to apply a surface overlay treatment to the Interstate 65 bridges over the Tennessee River will result in only one lane available in each direction - 24/7 for the duration of the project. ALDOT encourages allowing extra travel time and the use of alternate routes to avoid the traffic delays expected during this project.
Alternate routes are available to help minimize delays.
ALDOT's goal is to complete work as soon as possible to restore full traffic
capacity.
Start Date: July 16th Expected Completion: Early August
ALDOT advises motorists to use U.S. Highway 31 as an Alternate Route.
