This site is designed to provide information for permitting utilities and other miscellaneous type of work on Right-of-Way (ROW) and relocating utilities in conflict with highway construction.
The Permits & Operations Section is responsible for providing permits for Outdoor Advertising
Signs and licenses for junkyards along a route designated as a National Highway System (NHS), Interstate or primary
route per the Highway Beautification Act.
The Permits & Operations Section is also responsible for overseeing the
Adopt-A-Mile and
Keep Alabama Beautiful Program. The Traffic Operations Section is
responsible for the Specific Service (LOGO) Sign Program,Tourist Oriented Directional Sign (TODS) Program, and
Miscellaneous Guide Signs (including Memorial Signs).
This site is designed to provide information for the installation and maintenance of public safety sensors on ALDOT rights of way for incorporated municipalities, county governments, or other state agencies or institutions and their associated law enforcement groups.
