The project is located in South Mobile, approximately 1.5 miles south of the Tillmans Corner community. The project will begin at County Road 39 and end at CR-59 The work length of the project is approximately 4.5 miles.

The purpose of this project is to increase capacity and reduce congestion along I-10 between CR-39 (McDonald Rd) and CR-59 (Carol Plantation Rd). This will be accomplished by widening the roadway to create an additional travel lane in each direction. The project will include roadway widening toward the median, drainage improvements, concrete median barrier wall installation, signing, restriping, resurfacing, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) components.

Right of way will not be required for the proposed project. Construction of the proposed project is currently scheduled for mid to late Summer 2021

ALDOT is conducting Online Public Involvement Forum for the proposed project.
The commenting period will close for this project on December 23, 2020.
