Online Public Involvement: Access Improvement along US-431

Project Overview

Location: Alexandria (Calhoun County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation is proposing to improve access points along US-431 corridor starting at AL-144 and continuing to AL-204. This will includes adding turn lanes along with modifying and/or removing median crossovers. This project is scheduled to begin in early 2023. A resurfacing project for this same section of highway is planned for summer 2023.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

ALDOT is conducting online public involvement for the proposed project. All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before November 28, 2022.
