The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to hydro demolition the existing bridge deck on AL-12 (US-84) over the Choctowhatchee River in Daleville. US-84 eastbound would be closed during these maintenance activites. A detour is proposed that would utilize AL-85 and AL-92. The proposed detour map is located in the Project Maps section of the website. No right of way is required for these construction activities.
The purpose of this online public involvement is to inform the public of the proposed project and detour. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Thursday, July 25, 2024.
