In-Person and Online Public Involvement: Bridge Replacements on AL-14 over Blue Gurth Swamp

Project Overview

Location: Selma (Dallas County)

The proposed project is located on AL-14 just outside of Selma, Alabama. The project proposes to replace the bridges located over Blue Gurth Swamp. The road will be closed for construction and a detour around this section of AL-14 will be utilized. The proposed detour will uitilize AL-41(US 80) and AL-140 around the bridge location. A detour map can be found in the Project Maps section of this webpage. Right of way will not be required for this proposed project.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
