Online Public Involvement: Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) (on-going)

Opportunity for Public Comments

Thank you for visiting our site.
The Alabama Department of Transportation is inviting the public to provide input on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is a federally mandated four (4)-year funding and scheduling document for surface transportation projects (road, highway, pedestrian trails, bicycle facilities, and transit projects in Alabama). ALDOT develops the STIP based on the latest federal regulations, and it is a cooperative effort with the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) across the State. Transportation Projects are added, deleted, or modified through an amendment process.
Amendments for both Highway and Transit are made on bi-monthly basis. The public comment period is for 21-days after posting on STIP website.
