The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to hydro demolition the existing bridge deck on two (2) bridges located along AL-15 (US-29) in the City of Troy, Pike County. The first bridge travels over the Central of Georgia Railroad (Bridge 008277) and the second bridge travels over the CSX Railroad (Bridge 001748). The road would be closed during these maintenance activites. A detour is proposed that would utilize US-231 and AL-93. The proposed detour map is located in the Project Maps section of the website. No right-of-way is required for these construction activities.
The purpose of this online public involvement is to inform the public of the proposed project and detour. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, August 2, 2024.
