In Person and Online Public Involvement: Bridge Replacement on AL-6 at Big Creek

Project Overview

Location: Coker (Tuscaloosa County)

The proposed project is located on AL-6 (US-82) in the City of Northport, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The project proposes to replace the two existing bridges over Big Creek with a single, wider bridge. Additionally, the intersection with Sam Sutton Road will be closed in order to accommodate the new bridge. Construction of the proposed project will be done in phases and AL-6 (US-82) will remain open during construction. No additional right-of-way will be required.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
