Online and In-person Public Involvement: Access Management along US-431

Project Overview

Location: Dothan (Houston County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to improve traffic flow and address safety concerns along AL-1 (US-431) in the City of Dothan, Houston County. The proposed project will modify access and reduce conflict points along US-431 Ross Clark Circle to Headland Avenue. Modifications include the addition of concrete islands and U-turn lanes, as well as a reduced-conflict intersection (RCI) at US-431 and Headland Avenue. Additional information about RCIs can be found in the downloads section below.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
