The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to improve traffic flow and address safety concern points along AL-38(US-280) near Alexander City, Alabama. The project will implement necessary access management and safety countermeasures along AL-38 (US-280) beginning at AL-63 to Dadeville Rd. The proposed project will also reconfigure the intersection of Dadeville Road and US-280 to be right in-right out, with a new access road between Coley Creek Road and Dadeville Road. The project will also include resurfacing, traffic striping, guardrail, and other maintenance activities. The project will require right of way acquisition.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
