What is the
Transportation Alternatives program?

MAP-21 established the tap program which essentially replaces the long standing Transportation Enhancement (TE) Program.

Many of the past TE activities are still eligible under TAP. This program is application based for cities, towns, county commissions and metropolitan planning organizations. Funding ratio is 80/20.
