Online and In-person Public Involvement: Intersection Improvements to Wallahatchie Rd and Pike Rd

Project Overview

Location: Pike Road (Montgomery County)

The Town of Pike Road, in cooperation with ALDOT, is proposing to improve Pike Road (CR-85), Wallahatchie Road (CR-40), and Meriwether Road (CR-83) in the Town of Pike Road, Montgomery County. Currently, the roadways of Meriwether Road and Wallahatchie Road are offset along Pike Road. The proposed project will install a roundabout at the intersection of Pike Road and Wallahatchie Road. Meriwether Road will then be realigned northeast to tie into the proposed roundabout. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve traffic flow and reduce crashes at these intersections. Additional right-of-way will be needed to implement the project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, December 19, 2025.
