Online and In-person Public Involvement: Additional Lanes on AL-75

Project Overview

Location: Rainsville (DeKalb County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to widen AL-75 from Grimes Street to Marshall Road in the City of Rainsville, DeKalb County, Alabama. Currently, this section of AL-75 is a two-lane roadway with no turning movements. The proposed project will widen AL-75 to a five-lane roadway with four travel lanes and a center-turn lane. This lane configuration will match the existing configuration of AL-75 prior to Grimes Street and provide the traveling public with a designated lane for making left-turns into the many community facilities located along the corridor. The project length is approximately two (2) miles.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
