Online and In-person Public Involvement: AL-69 Intersection Improvements

Project Overview

Location: Tuscaloosa (Tuscaloosa County)

This project consists of at-grade intersection improvements and access management along AL-69 from Mimosa Park Road to the I-20/59 interchange. Work will be performed at the intersections of AL-69 and Mimosa Park Road, Reese Phifer Avenue and Skyland Boulevard. AL-69 will be widened to add one northbound and one southbound lane from Skyland Boulevard through the I-20/59 interchange. The project includes access management, roadway widening and other targeted improvements that are designed to enhance both mobility and safety along the corridor. By reducing conflict points and improving traffic flow, these changes will help create a safer and more efficient roadway.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
