Online and In-person Public Involvement: Intersection Improvements on AL-126

Online and In-person Public Involvement: Intersection Improvements on AL-126

Project Overview

Location: Pike Road (Montgomery County)

The proposed project at the intersection of AL-126 and Wares Ferry Road includes converting the existing two-way stop-controlled intersection to a roundabout to improve safety and traffic operations. The project will include roadway reconstruction and realignment, signing and pavement marking upgrades, lighting modifications, and other associated work necessary to accommodate the roundabout. Construction will be phased to maintain traffic through the intersection, and no detour is anticipated. The proposed improvements are intended to reduce conflict points and improve traffic flow through the intersection.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, July 10, 2026.
