Project Overview

Location: Jacksonville (Calhoun County)

The proposed project is located on AL-9 near the City of Jacksonville in Calhoun County. The project proposes to replace the existing bridge over Cottaquilla Creek with a modern bridge that meets current design standards. The bridge will be replaced on new alignment west of the existing bridges. Additional right-of-way will be needed to implement the project. No detour will be needed as the existing bridge will remain open during construction.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
