Online and In-person Public Involvement: Improve AL-15 (US-29)

Project Overview

Location: Troy (Pike County)

The proposed project is located on AL-15 (US-29) just north of the City of Troy in Pike County, Alabama. The project will remove the bridge over the abandoned railroad (BIN 008277) and construct a new roadway at this location. The project will also rehab the bridge deck of the bridge on US-29 over the CSXT Railroad (BIN 001748) using hydrodemolition. While local traffic will have access to AL-15 (US-29), through traffic will be detoured along AL-93 and AL-53 (US-231).

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, August 28, 2026.
