Online Public Involvement: Bridge Replacement on I-59 over Muckleroy Online Public Involvement: Bridge Replacement on I-59 over Muckleroy

Project Overview

Location: Ashville (St. Clair County)

The proposed project is located on I-59 in St. Clair County. The project is designed to replace the bridges on I-59 over Muckleroy Creek. The existing bridges are deteriorating and too narrow to accommodate current vehicles. The new bridges will consist of 2-12 foot wide travel lanes and 8 foot shoulders. Staged construction is proposed for this project; one lane of the bridges will remain open and be accessible during construction.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
