Online and In-person Public Involvement: Improve AL-167 (Boll Weevil Circle)

Project Overview

Location: Enterprise (Coffee County)

The proposed project is located along AL-167 (Boll Weevil Circle) and will widen approximately 4.07 miles of Boll Weevil Circle from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway between AL-27 (Geneva Highway) and AL-12 (US-84). The project is intended to provide connectivity between the existing 4-lane facilities on Boll Weevil Circle, improve traffic operations, enhance safety, and accommodate existing and future transportation demands within the corridor. In addition to roadway widening, the project includes implementation of access management strategies along the corridor and construction of a new bridge structure. Additional right-of-way will be needed for the proposed project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before  Monday, June 08, 2026.
