Online and In-person Public Involvement: Intersection Improvements on AL-49 and AL-50

Project Overview

Location: Dadeville (Tallapoosa County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to install a roundabout at the intersection of AL-49 and AL-50 south of the City of Dadeville. The existing intersection is a two-way stop. Delays are often experienced at the intersection due to several commercial businesses and industrial facilities within the area. The proposed project will improve the operation of the intersection and address those traffic delays. Additional right of way will be needed to implement this project. The road will remain open during construction, however intermittent lane closures are expected.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, March 6, 2026.
