Project Overview
Location: Pinson (Jefferson County)
The proposed project is located on AL-79 north of the City of Birmingham in Jefferson County. The project is designed to widen the roadway from Old Bradford north, approximately 1.2 miles to the existing 4 lane facility. The widening will be constructed to the outside of the existing roadway for two additional travel lanes. This project will improve operations and require the acquisition of temporary construction easements and right of way. Traffic will remain open during construction with intermittent lane closures as needed.
The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
