Online and In-person Public Involvement: Bridge Replacements on US-29 over Big Creek, Sina Creek, and Hornet Creek

Online and In-person Public Involvement: Example Layout File

Project Overview

Location: Dozier (Covington & Crenshaw)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to replace three (3) bridges along AL-15 (US-29) near Dozier in Covington and Crenshaw Counties. The proposed project would replace the existing bridges over Big Creek, Sina Creek, and Hornet Creek with modern structures that meet current design standards. The bridges will be built on new alignment parallel to the existing structures. No detour will be needed as the existing bridges will remain open to traffic during construction and removed once the new bridges are complete. Additional right-of-way will be needed to implement the project. The total length of the project is approximately two (2) miles.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
