Project Overview

Location: Alexander City (Tallapoosa County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT)is proposing to reconstruct the intersection of AL-38 (US-280) and AL-22 (Lee Street) in Alexander City, Alabama. The proposed project will reconstruct the intersection with concrete. Damaged sections of the existing pavement will be removed and replaced, while undamaged sections will be retained. Traffic striping, legends, and markers will be replaced. No right of way acquisition is required for this project. The road will remain open during construction, however intermittent lane closures are expected.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
