What is the Bridge Inspection Program?

The Maintenance Bureau alongside Local Transportation Bureau works with state, county, and city bridge owners to ensure all bridges in the state of Alabama are being inspected according to Federal and State Regulations.

Other related activities include bridge scour analysis, bridge rating & load testing, underwater bridge inspection, and bridge repair.







    The Bridge Inspection Program provides emergency bridge inspections within the state as needed. The Maintenance Bureau, in coordination with the Emergency Bridge Inspection Team, provides technical assistance to the divisions, counties and cities as needed.
